I just did this on a 2000 Asto van-look behind the tire on the passenger side--pull back the rubber mud guard attached to the fender well- behind it you will find a metal ball with a nipple protruding out of it. push the other end of the vacuum on to that nipple securely. That should do it. I just wish I could find what the metal ball does. Why does it need vacuum line. Hope this helps someone
You have to remove the passenger front fender. The blower is located on the firewall inside the fender.
In the engine compartment near the A/C evaporator box, closest to the inner fender.
the proper way is to remove the pass side inner fender well. then replace the motor. through the years many have just opted to cut a hole in the inner fender to access the blower motor. then cover the hole with a slightly larger piece of sheet metal and screw it inside the inner fender well to cover the hole.
It is on the right hand side of the vehicle near the right fender. You lift up the hood, locate the blower motor, remove screws and replace it. Should be able to find it visually. The fan is attached to the blower motor shaft. It can be removed off the motor after the assembly is removed from the vehicle.
remove the winshield warher tank. loosen the bolt under the pasanger side fender wall so that you can push it down a little. now loosen the three bolts on the firewll of the car where the blower is located and remove the hose above the blower so that you can pull out the blower. use the hose on the new blower and replace blower. screw on bolts and replace washer tank and your done.
You have to remove the passenger fender well to get to it. After you remove it, unbolt it and unplug it and it's out. VERY simple to replace, NOT so easy to get to though.
With Ac It is Under Front right Fender
The fast way.....1.5 hours by cutting out a access door and then resealing it. The correct way......3.0 hours to remove the complete inner fender.......
I owned a 75 model Impala and the blower motor was located under the hood, passenger side of vehicle, down in the fender/fender well area, hiddenbehind a/c unit
