Food is digested by your digestive system. During this process, starch is digested down into glucose by the enzyme amylase. From breathing we receive oxygen, which combines with glucose to produce energy, as well as carbon dioxide and water, which are excreted from the body. This process , in a symbol equation, is; glucose + oxygencarbon dioxide + water (+ energy). This process is called aerobic respiration, and is the main type of respiration. This reaction for respiration to produce energy takes place in the mitochondria (small objects in the cytoplasm of the cell).

hello my friend, the electrons in the Fe (iron) element must equal to the amount in S (Sulphur) so the element iron loses 1 electron and the sulphur gains 3 electrons so it is equal. This is what happens during the reaction. i hope this answers your question 0_0

How are sulfur chemicals turned into energy?

Burn Sulfur with oxygen and produce heat. In action, this is not really a good idea since the Sulfur will turn to SO2 upon combustion and in presence of humidity it will future react to sulfurous acid. Quite a health hazard form of fuel. Usually, we use Sulfur as reagent to produce Sulfuric and other stuff. We recover energy from reaction as byproduct.

Conversion of weight to mechanical energy by using the reaction of internal compress air of the tire?

I think you are suggesting an idea that has actually been patented before. It certainly doesn't work well, and you can't get something for nothing.

What is the activation energy of peroxodisulphate and iodide reaction?

From an experiment I did in my chemistry lab, I got a value of 52.0 kJ. But I have no idea what the "true" Ea is.

How much power is produced during nuclear fusion?

To get an exact answer, you would have to specify a fusion reaction; different reactions will produce different amounts of energy. However, to get a rough idea, the energy produced is in the order of a million times more than the typical chemical reaction.

Explain why an investment of activation energy is necessary to initiate a spontaneous reaction?

haha...no idea. I have the same question...... But after reading my text, I'm pretty sure its to do with the fact that there is an energy barrier between the reactant and products that must be overcome in order for the reaction to proceed, which is what activation energy basically is, the amount of energy needed to jumpstart the process. ! I'm studying for Finals too!

Explain the reaction when magnesium metal is burnt using the Big Idea of Energy?

The reaction of magnesium and oxygen happens with the help of heat enery. There are two magnesium particles and two oxygen particles these then join together to create two magnesium oxide compounds.

How is geo thermal energy being used as a source of energy?

geothermal energy refers to the idea of using the temperature difference between the Earth's surface and the ground below it to drive a thermodynamic cycle from which you can produce useful energy.

Why did Arthur Manam create the solar panel?

To create a energy efficent way to produce energy using a common item. He had the idea of the sun because it appers everywhere on the planet.

Describe the greenhouse effect using the big idea of energy transfer?

The big idea of energy transfer is the idea of a source of energy being changed into another form of energy such as light energy to heat energy. This effect happens in global warming where chemical energy is transferred into heat energy with a greenhouse effect.

What is the standard temperature of sulfur?

"Standard temperature" by itself means 273.15 K. I've never heard the phrase "standard temperature of sulfur" and have no idea what whomever used it might have meant.

Why do some reactions require energy from their surrounding?

for every reaction there is a minimal amount of energy required. sometimes this amount of energy is provided by the environment and sometimes not. when the energy is not provided by the environment heating is required. all of this is a result of the collisions of atoms .they need energy to form products with other atoms. this energy is obtained from the environment
