How do doctors use ICT?

Hospitals use ICT everyday, they use ICT in the administration department mostly were they check what patient has came today and which patient hasn't came, they also use ICT to help amend, create and delete patient records, without ICT it would be really hard and a waste of time in the hospital.

ICT in hospitals allows those who are in critical condition to be separated and grouped opposite of those with minor treatments.

•Doctors can't watch patients all day , so computerised monitors are used instead. Sensors are attached to the patient to read things such as their temperature. The information from the sensors can be seen on a computer. This data is saved and checked for problems. If there is a problem like the pulse being too high the computer will let them know.

•ICT is used in diagnosing illnesses with things such as MRI scans and x-rays.

•On the computer expert systems let staff who lack some medical knowledge to get advice from a computer.

•ICT is also used for managing patients records. Hospitals and doctors treat thousands of patients each year so need to record their medical details accurately. Before ICT these records used to be written on paper and stored in massive rooms. It was a problem because it took a long time to access the records and also there wasn't another copy if a record was lost. HOPE THIS HELPED BTW! :)
