because the dye is absorded in the water and the flower absorbs anything that is in the water
Any flower that is white will absorb the color you choose. You see that often with carnations. They are dyed blue alot. I have found nothing on-line that shows this. I did see one reference where a virus was injected into the bulb to change the flower color but on the second year flowering it reverted back to the original color. You can however dye some white cut flowers by putting into colored water. The dye is absorbed through the stem and into the flower.
The flower probably dies...
Yes .
When a flower is cut and put in water, it can take up to an hour for the flower to properly absorb water. The ageing of the flower makes it absorb water at a slower pace.
the color of the flower of course! xD
In my opinion I think blue or green dye would dye a flower faster because it is much darker and makes the flower color it faster. This experiment was not yet tested to figure the correct answer by me.
White flowers will change color if dyes are added to the water because the flower will absorb the dye with water through the stem.

It can change color when the food dye is in the water the flower soaks up the water and food dye at the same time because the food dye was put in the water.
yes
Some flowers use more water, faster. The faster it would normally use water, the faster it would absorb a liquid dye.
The food dye goes up into the stem of the flower and moves into the system of making the color, creating a different color besides the white on the petals!
Generally they take 24 hours for all the petals to absorb the dye in the water. Blue dye is more easily absorbed than red or green dye.

Pretty much any color. That's why they tie dye white t-shirts.
Wool dyes so well because it has fibers that absorb color. The filament is very fine in wool. It can be dyed almost any color.
There are many different dyes. The primary use of a dye is to color something. It can be used for food, clothing, ink, paint, or anything else that can absorb a color from a dye. A dye that is permitted to be used to color food is not poisonous although there are people who claim that some food dyes can be harmful. Dyes used for other purposes may be poisonous or otherwise unsafe. It is always a good idea to read the packaging label on any dye you intend to use.
