There really is not significantly enough hormones and antibiotics in the meat to directly effect us. However, that is only if proper protocols and withdrawal times have been followed to the T. If meat that enters the food chain contains trace amounts of hormones and antibiotics, it could mean children going into puberty earlier in life, other reproductive problems, and people getting sick from the meat.
All meat contains some form of and certain amounts of hormones, no matter how it is raised. But the animals that have been injected with hormones a number of times will cause more harm to humans than naturally-raised, no-hormones-added meat would. Meat comes from animals, and animals, like us humans, have hormones that are circulated throughout the body in its natural processes like estrous cycling, pregnancy, testosterone, growth (for young growing animals), and other things. But like I said, meat that contains unhealthy levels of hormones are indeed, bad for us.
Because it has supposedly not been treated with growth hormones, antibiotics, pesticides, or fertilizers.
pople are drinking this water and it is affecting people, this water has others sex hormones, antibiotics, and may other things. This water, containing drugs, is emptied into the us waterways and seas. Fish are swimming in the water and the water also goes into rivers and it affects the soil.
Organic food is better for us because it contains no pesticides, antibiotics, hormones, and such. It's also not refined. Eating organic helps to keep our body in the best possible condition.
I'm not sure if you could specify? I just learned about antibiotics in biology this year (I'm a sophomore) and I can tell you something though: do not give antibiotics to your animals to promote growth. It is sorta like taking antibiotics when you're sick. They help you, but can be deadly. It goes the same for animals too. Antibiotics can be deadly because there are such things that may exist in our bodies called MUTANT BACTERIA STRAINS. These strains will not respond to antibiotics when the other bacteria die off. MUTANT BACTERIA STRAINS will stay alive. and worse, multiply. And then you have a whole swarm of mutant bacteria strains in your body that can't be taken away with antibiotics. So when you give certain livestock antibiotics to promote growth, you're risking possession of mutant bacteria in your body when you eat their meat. The animal may have mutant bacteria strains already and you don't know it. So when you eat the animal, you're risking getting these bacteria strains. Sorry if that didn't help, but you may have learned something vital instead.
Antibiotic is a metabolic by product of one type of microorganism which has killing or inhibiting effect on bacteria. The first rule of antibiotics is try not to use them, and the second rule is try not to use too many of them. Over use of antibiotics have contributed to the emergence of antibiotic resistant bacteria. our body contains microorganisms known as normal flora(nf), which are beneficial to us. Unnecessary or over use of antibiotics may effect this nf.
In the US, the Paragard IUD has no hormones. Mirena and Skyla have hormones.
which ones? their are dozens of classes of antibiotics all of which act in their own way. in general they all bind to a part of a bacterial cell that the bacteria needs to survive, and which humans don't have, so it it poison to bacteria and has little if any effect on us
Some possibilities: 1. Though overweight and obesity is increasing throughout the developed world, rates in the US are particularly high and young women with higher body fat percentages menstruate earlier. 2. Synthetic hormones are used in meat production in the US.
Facts about meat are....e.g. -red meat is bad for us in any concision - meat is important in a diet -it gives us minerals -meat comes from the flesh of the animals
the hormones in our bodies make us emotional
