This works for legacys, unsure about imprezas but no harm in trying.
Look under the drivers side dash, and you'll find a green connector with 2 black pin connectors attached.
---------------------------------------------
Turn the Ignition OFF
This bits hard to explain, but if you face the green connector towards you it should look kind'a like this
1 2
3 4 5 6
Insert either one of the black connectors into position 6
Turn the Ignition ON
Its pretty much ready to read codes
ABS light with tell you the code number with a series of flashes consisting of long and short flashing. Long flashs are 10's and short flashes are 1's. Meaning if i had 2 long flashes followed by 4 short flashes, that's Code 24
Code 11 - Start Code
Code 21-28 - Codes relating to wheel sensors
Sorry but this is the only information I have
If you have p0201,p0202,p0203,etc, try replacing the throttle position sensor. The tps can go bad and send out electrical noise which confuses the computer and it sets injector codes.
I'm wondering if you are looking for a list of the Diagnostic Trouble Codes and what they mean or if you are wanting to know how to get any codes that may be stored on board due to a fault that's occurred. On model years 96 and later the only way to obtain the codes is by using a scanner that plugs into an outlet typically located under the dash on the drivers side near the side wall. The scanner will display any active codes. It would probably be less expensive to just take the vehicle in to a repair shop that has a scanner than to buy one. If you want a list of all codes that can be shown you can obtain these codes and an explanation of each by purchasing one of the popular repair manuals from publishers such as Hayes or Chilton. Usually these manuals are available at your local library in their reference section and contain a wealth of other information. Hope this helps and Good luck to you !!
No
If you read the biography the theory behind the lyrics is Robert Plants plea to save his soul in repent of practicing satanism but Robert Plant would probably have a good laugh if he was asked about it, I dont think Plant has ever officially stated what the songs lyrics were about.
On my 1999, I'm pretty sure the cam and the crank sensor will generate the same fault code. For the price of the sensors, I'd just change both. Eliminate any doubt about which one is at fault.
You will need an OBDII scanner to retrieve the codes. WalMart has some for about $70 if you want to buy one. Otherwise, you can go to AutoZone and have it scanned free.
The ABS light is on because there is a fault in the system. Once the fault is repaired or fixed the light will reset itself. The ABS system can be scanned for codes to help diagnose the problem.

Go to any auto parts store (O'Reilly, Auto Zone, NAPA, Advance, etc.). Most of them have an OBDII scanner and will diagnose fault codes on your vehicle free of charge.

basically, p 1080 is a fault code that faults many codes, it faults codes that is a code for a fault, when you get a faulty code you need to un fault it with a code called p 1080, which is a fault code that measures fault codes!
I need to know the computer fault codes I need numbered bios codes and not bleep codes
Does it look like this?http://images.thetruthaboutcars.com/2009/04/tpms_display1.jpgIf so, it is for the TPMS, (tire pressure monitoring system). That lamp is there to indicate a fault, which is most commonly a low tire.
if you pull the lever by the drivers side and it dont open try using the key and if that doesnt work then it sounds like the bar has come off inside the panel, you will have to gain access thru the back seats undo the boot lock and rectify the fault.

Check auto transmission fluid level. If it's not that, an auto trans servicing outfit will be able to look at fault codes and diagnose a deeper problem if there is one.
