Step 1 First thing you will want to do is print these steps. You will be offline/Lost connection while change your ip address on your Belkin router Step2 After Hooking Belkin Wireless Router directly to your PC. Turn off any Modems that maybe attached to the Router Step3 Once the Modem turn off, double click on internet Explorer which will be a blue "E" icon on your desktop. Step4 Address Bar in Internet Explorer Once Internet Explorer has opened. In the address bar type 192.168.2.1 and hit enter. Step5 The Belkin Menu will appear. On the left hand side you will see menu. Click on LAN settings under LAN setup. Step6 It will prompt you for a password. Unless you changed the password previously then just leave the password field blank and click on submit. Step7 Belkin LAN settings screen this will take you to the Belkin LAN settings screen. You see the Ip address field where an IP Address is currently 192.168.2.1. Change the 2 to a 40. So it will now say 192.168.40.1 Step8Next click on Apply Changes Button at the bottom of the page. Step9 Close out of Internet Explorer. Then turn off the Belkin Wireless Router and Computer. Step10 Turn on your Modem. Wait until you a have most of your lights other than the Ethernet light. You will not have an Ethernet light. Step11Once the most of the lights are on. Turn on Belkin Wireless Router. You will now have an Ethernet light. Step12 Then Turn on the PC and you able to browse the internet by clicking on Internet Explorer.
