The only easy way I know of is find a 1984 or 85 Mark VII with the Hydro Boost system that runs off the Power Steering pump. Take the whole assy out of it where it bolts to the firewall. You should also grab all the brakes lines too. I never did this myself but I remember finding an older Mark VII in the yard with this set up, it's just like the older Lincolns are. I'm not sure if the older ones would involve more modifying, so just to be sure you don't run into this try to find a Mark VII with this setup. I don't think you would have the room for a vacuum brake booster under the hood of the Mark VII. Make sure you get a new master cylinder though, because when setting around too long and not being used they tend to draw moisture from the air into them and they rust out and this could cause you to loose your brakes with no warning.

Just unplug the ABS fuse, it will disable it.

Why is your abs brake light and park brake on in your 2002 Dodge Dakota?

The ABS (antilock brake system) light is on because there is a problem with the ABS system. Until that problem is fixed, the light will remain on and the ABS system will not be functioning. You will still have regular brakes but without the ABS function. Take it to a qualified mechanic for repair.

the ABS light indicates a problem in in Abs system, a brake light indicates a problem with main braking system. such as low fluid level, leaks in system, parking brake on etc. Abs system works in conjunction to brake system. but abs system is not the main or basic braking system.

What does abs mean on a 99 Dodge Caravan?

ABS stands for Anti-lock Brake System. If you're talking about the indicator light on your instrument panel, it'll come on and go off once you start the car, but if it stays on that's either an indication that the ABS system has a problem, or that there is a problem with just the regular brake system.

Should you be concerned about abs light going on in your 1995 Nissan Maxima?

When an ABS light comes on, the ABS function of your brake system is disabled. Once this has happened, you cars brake system is reverted back to a regular brake system. In most cases, an ABS light being on means there is no communication from the wheel speed sensor to your Brake Control Module (B.C.M.).You could drive the vehicle in this condition as long as the Brakes and Bearings are within drivability condition.
