If you lay up under the engine in your truck and look up at the bottom of the engine.
You will be looking at the oil pan. It bolts to the bottom of the engine and has a plug are bolt in the bottom of it.

locate the engine look directly below it.
Should be at the rear or side of the oil pan

you purchase the oil and a filter, then locate the oil pan and remove the drainplug bolt, after the oil has drained you change the oil filter, replace the drainplug and add oil
Locate the drain plug on the oil pan, remove it, and let the old oil drain. Then locate and remove the oil filter, wipe some oil on the rubber seal of the new filter, then replace the drain plug.?æ
By looking. In order to work it has to be located at the lowest part of the pan, which should reduce your search time to a few seconds at most.
Remove oil pan and locate pump un bolt and replace with new one make sure you have a new oil pan gasket to replace it when your done.
More than likely, it's coming from the pan. Clean the motor and look for oil leaks.
drain motor oil, remove oil pan , locate oil pump , it has 2 crews. replace oil pump with new one. replace oil pan gasket with new , put oil pan back make sure all screws are tight but not tooo tight . put back motor oil 4 1/2 to 5 quarts .. done check for leaks around oil pan.
