Sportage has a drain plug on the bottom of the pan. which will drain most of the fluid out.

I had to use an oil sucker that sucks the engine oil out from the dipstick hole. I could not locate the drain plug under this car.

The trans does not have a drain plug.
On my 2000 Kia Sportage the drain plug is on the bottom of the radiator. Look on the left side of the radiator(Bottom). It is a plastic wing nut. There is a drain hose about three inches long. The hose might help you find the plug.(wing nut)
You crawl under the vehicle, find the oil pan on the bottom of the engine block, and look around for the drain plug. I can assure you it has one.
