I assume you are changing the brake pads, either a vice, really big channel lock and steady pressure,, a c- clamp, or the proper tool to do it and made for it, it's a cheap tool worth it's weight in gold... like a c clamp that has a flat surface on it and a squeeze handle... Anyway you do it, slow steady even pressure , take off the cap on the brake resevior, and clean any mess that might come out of there....
