hmmm that's a hard one maybe you should try pushing down and turning counter clockwise at least that's how its done on every car i have ever seen in my life
The cam sensor should be located underneathe your distributor cap. That is the placement on my 98 Grand Cherokee and it should be located there as well on yours.
On my 97 jeep grand Cherokee, with the 5.2 liter v8, its located in the distributor, under cap & rotor.
Through the cap in the middle of the valve cover.
The rotor button is inside the distributor cap.
It is part of the plate under the rotor inside the distributor cap.
under the jeep in front but on bottom of motor on passenger side.
At the rear of the intake manifold right next to the distributor cap.
Luid You can open the cap on the fluid container when you compress the calipers back it will force the fluid back and then you bleed them to remove any air in the lines.
If the starter is turning/engaging and there is still no spark, it is very likely your distributor has failed. (Not the cap, but the whole pickup assembly underneath the cap, that the rotor is attached to.)
4.7L does not have a distributor. 5.2L and 5.9L the distributor is on the rear of the engine.
At tdc compression it should be pointing at #1 on the distributor cap.
I believe +99 Grand Cherokees moved to a distributorless system, you will only have coilpacks. They are normally 1 coil park for 2 cylinders.
