They suffocate their prey - by wrapping their body around the animal, and tightening their grip as the animal breathes out. They swallow the animal whole - usually starting at the head - and 'walking their jaw over the animal until its at the top of the gullet. They use throat muscles to pull the prey into their stomach - where powerful acids dissolve the food, until there's nothing left but hair. The waste is ejected from the cloaca.
Diet consists of small mammals and birds, the larger the python the larger the prey which include pigs, dogs, cats and primates, etc., the python ambushes it's prey and suffocates the victim rather then crushing it, after swallowing the prey whole digestion takes many days to several weeks depending on the size of the prey.

Ball pythons, or Royal Pythons, are smaller snakes (4-6 feet) and are commonly kept as pets.Burmese Pythons are much larger and thicker than BP's and can grow up to around 18 feet (more commonly around 12-15)Reticulated Pythons are similar to Burmese Pythons but are normally thinner, longer and more aggressive than the Burmese.Green Tree Pythons are about the same size as Ball Pythons but are from New Guinea and dwell in trees while BP's are from Africa and are ground-dwellers. Both feed on small mammals.
NO! Do NOT feed them bacon. It is unnatural to them and will make them sick, and most likely, kill them
Very unlikely. Pythons feed on warm-blooded prey - such as rodents. They are highly unlikely to prey on another cold-blooded reptile. However - there are always exceptions to the 'rule'.
depending on the size of the Burm you can feed it baby rats or adult mice when they are small up to large rabbits, plucked chickens or Guinea Pigs..
