Please check your spark plugs, wires, distributor and rotor or the ignition coil module. My '93 LX has an ignition coil module.
Use an ohmeter to test tesistance where the plug wires connect to the coil-it should read 12,000. now for the the primaray side where the signal wires connect to the coil should be 2-3 ohms.
check your plug wires, then your coil packs, then your ignition module.
The ignition control module is located directly beneath the coil packs. These can be found at the rear of the engine, on the top center. Just look for where all the spark plug wires connect, those are the coil packs, and they are bolted to the ignition control module. It has three electrical connectors, two on the driver's side and one on the passenger's side.
No. The coil provides the spark and the module tells the coil when to spark.
The Ignition Control Module (ICM) is located directly above the coil. If you remove the 2 bolts holding the coil on and then romove the coil mounting plate from the car you will see a small rectangular module with wires plugged into it. This is the ICM.
are the wires good? Plugs?
under the coil packs and the coil packs are connected to the spark plug wires
under the coil pack in the engine compartment. The coil pack is where the plug wires hook into it.
Its on the top of the engine at the right front... coils and ignition module are together. Follow the plug wires, away from the spark plugs, where they will connect into the coil pack. The ignition module is sandwiched under the coil pack. To remove either... remove the three nuts under the ignition module and the six torx screws on top of the coil pack.... voila. After market new modules (10/2010) cost $98-134 at Carquest Auto Parts. OEM Delco module cost New from B&B Auto parts $ 360 Good Luck
