Its on the top of the engine at the right front... coils and ignition module are together. Follow the plug wires, away from the spark plugs, where they will connect into the coil pack. The ignition module is sandwiched under the coil pack. To remove either... remove the three nuts under the ignition module and the six torx screws on top of the coil pack.... voila.

In a 83 Oldsmobile you remove the dist cap, unplug and unscrew the module and install a new module. It would be helpful to know if this is your lawnmower or boat engine.
The Ignition Control Module is on the top left hand side of the engine under the Ignition Coils.
The body control module, on your 1997 Oldsmobile, is located on the rear suspension. The module is mounted on the passenger side of the rear axle.
These go bad over time. Need to pull inner door lining and replace the module. You can find them on eBay for around $60.
Replace blower control module. Usually the fan starts acting erraticaly and eventualy just stops.

The 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora turn signal/ hazard flasher module is located up under the LH dash above your feet.

The 1999 Oldsmobile headlamp module is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The headlamp module will be on the drivers side of the firewall.
