I believe you can unhook the battery and let it sit for about 5 minutes before hooking it back up. Otherwise you need a VAGscanner to reset the fault codes.

Just done mine with no probs no problem at all,just make sure you have the key in the doorlock to turn the alarm off,that alarm is very loud and I almost sh.. myself a cpl of times forgetting about the alarm coming on hooking her back up lol.
