If it is a 3.2L V6, you have to remove the fan shroud, then the fan, then the belts from the front of the engine. The main drive pully at the bottom that all the belts connect to has to come off next (a 24mm socket and you have to hold the pulley with either a strap wrench or a huge pair of channel lock pliers so the engine doesn't turn as you try to loosen the 24mm nut from the pulley). There are 2 brush guards under the front of the truck right below the filter assembly that need to come off...2 bolts hold the smaller plate and 3 more hold the larger brush guard/plate. Then you can disconnect the 2 oil lines to the oil filter housing and the 2 sensor wires. Then you can finally get to the two 12mm bolts holding the oil filter housing.....fun, huh? I just had to replace my wife's as the housing started leaking pretty bad. If it is a 3.2L V6, you have to remove the fan shroud, then the fan, then the belts from the front of the engine.
