key on, drivers door open for about 40 seconds, brake light should go out automatically...
I changed my downstream sensor by driving the car, 2000 Alero, onto ramps then I set the emergency break. I disconnected the battery to reset the computer before I removed the sensor. The sensor on this car was located on a short pipe between the converter and the muffler. I guess that there is a special socket to remove the sensor but I just grabbed the nut of the sensor with a pipe wrench, since I was replacing the sensor anyway. With the extra pulling power of the big wrench the sensor screwed right off. I carefully pulled the cable of the sensor away from the clips all the way up to the connector. The connector had a safety clip which pulled out, then the electrical connector is pulled apart by bending down the plastic side clip of the bottom connector. I replaced the new sensor using care not to break the wires. Then I worked backwards replacing the cable the same way that I removed the old one.
push the break pedal 3 times to reset the computer
You dont want to stop your computers fan from running. It will overheat and break if you do that.
un hook the negative battery cable and hold your foot on the break for 30 secons and it will reset your computer
The computer has detected a condition that indicates a fault with the ABS/Traction system. Typically that's caused by a wheel sensor problem, but it can also be caused by a faulty connector, peripheral device or the computer. The above is the shop or garage answear. How about telling us how to fix the problem , besides replacing the computer or wheel sensor? How do we check these things? Sometimes can be as simple as a short circuit in the rear break lights or a faulty connection in the break lights. You can start checking the break light system. Then the sensors and finally the compter.
It is located in the wheel hub. If the speed sensor fails, you have to replace the hub.If you have an ABS light coming on and the ABS computer says the speed sensor, don't rule out the wires as we had our speed sensor wires break. They were so thin that they couldn't even be soldered, so it is not surprising that they could break.
no its fine it just makes u 10th prestige :) i did it and then reset it im now at lvl 20 :P hehe
usually when the patient is out and break it usually have a tool that breaks it and they reset by putting it in the right place like if your legs is broken sometimes they have to reset to get it in the right place
kool
check your break fluid, break pads, and ebrake switch! if were any other light like airbag then you would push the drivers door light swith five times with ignition on
If you mean the car breaks all by it self, you may have a problem with your computer. If you mean the abs isn't working, you may have a problem with the sensor, which is not something you probably want to play with, or it may be a blown fuse.
When you install a new ignition switch, you should disconnect the battery. That will perform a computer code reset. If you are still getting codes, something is wrong. Check your wiring and make sure everything is properly connected and not shorted. Check the computer versus security system synchronization, particularly the key code sensor which is near the ignition switch. Make sure you did not break any of the conductors in the "clock spring" that connects the steering column with the rotating parts of the steering wheel. See the manufacturer's documentation for specifics.
