If its a DX hatchback...just remove the rear seat cushion and there will be a "plate" underneath it. Just unbolt it and carefully remove the unit (float and pump will be attached to cover)and the unit will have to be "angled" somewhat for complete removal.

No, there is no access hole for the fuel pump on a 1989 Chevrolet Celebrity. To change the fuel pump or replace the filter "sock" it is necessary to drop the fuel tank out of the car. I have been tempted to make my own access hole but never have.

The fuel pump on your Honda Civic is mounted on top and inside the fuel tank. On your Civic if you need to replace the fuel pump, you may be in luck. On most vehicles the fuel tank must be removed, but on many Honda automobiles there is an access panel located just above the fuel pump in the trunk or under the back seat. Look for this access panel before removing the fuel tank.

It is in the fuel tank. Most Honda's have an access panel in the trunk or under the rear seat. If no panel then the tank must be lowered to gain access.

There is only one access to the fuel pump in your car. You have to remove the fuel tank, unscrew the top plate and pull it out. If you go through all that trouble, replace it and the screen. luck.
