A difficult procedure to do in your driveway. It involves pumping ATF up into the transmission through the center plug opening in the drain plug. The small center plug is a Torx head, (number 30 (I think). The vehicle needs to be level and warmed up. If you remove the center plug in the drain plug ATF should be just dripping out if the trans is full and running at operating temp. So you basically have to over fill the trans by pumping ATF up into the center plug then with engine running, allow the ATF to drain back out until it just drips out. The center plug has an extended tube that goes up inside the trans. This tube determines the fluid level with car level, running and warmed up.
as far as I know you can not add fluid because the trans. is a self enclosed trans.(if you have slippage, its time for repair.
Yes.
Need to remove a quart of trans. fluid to add a quart of lucas trans conditioner. Does not have a drain plug.
how much trans fluid do i add when changing trans fliud in my 2000 focus
On a 1998 Ford Explorer : The automatic transmission fluid dipstick is located near the firewall , on the passenger side of the engine , in the engine compartment Pull out the dipstick and use a funnel to add transmission fluid ( the type used should be engraved into the dipstick )
the engine oil and trans oil is all in one!
On a 1995 Ford Explorer ( automatic transmission ) You use a funnel and add transmission fluid through the dipstick tube ( it is located in the engine compartment , by the firewall , towards the passenger side of the vehicle , where the transmission is bolted to the rear of the engine )
The very same place you check the fluid level. You will need to purchase a funnel used to add fluid to an A/T.
you cant
You add trans fluid down the trans dipstick tube.
Where do I add transmission fluid to a 1994 Ford explorer with a manual transmission?
if its an automatic you put it in through the filler tube or trans dipstick tube if manual on the side of the transmission
