Where do I add transmission fluid to a 1994 Ford explorer with a manual transmission?
automatic has a dipstick on drivers side manual has a fill hole in the side
Under the car on the upper side of the transmission. There you will find a plug. Remove it. If fluid comes out you are full. If you stick you finger in the hole and can feel fluid, you are fine. If not, add the proper lube as outlined in your owner's manual.
if automatic can add where the dip stick is and if manual you have to add on the side of the transmission but be sure to take off the plug that is the highest or you will get a bath.
You can add transmission fluid, to your 1987 BMW through the transmission dipstick tube. Using a funnel will make adding the fluid much easier.
You add the type of manual transmission fluid specified in your owner's manual - nothing else.
A manual transmision doesnt use transmision fluid
Fill plug on the side of the transmission case.
the plug to add and check the transmission fluid is on the side of the transmission and only accessable from under the vehicle.
