I have a 1987 Toyota 4 runner...I need to replace my manual Transmission Fluid....and I needto replace it with Lucas Transmission fluid....how much do I need to buy?
Year?
you dont put transmission fluid in a manual transmission. you need gear oil, and it should be done by a transmission shop
If your Toyota has a manual transmission, the fluid will be put in by removing the gearshift, and literally pouring the fluid into the cavity under the shifter.

check the manual.
Transmission fluid goes in the transmission of a Toyota Tercel as instructed by the manual for the vehicle. To know what is best to put in the vehicle, get advise from an auto part supplier.
Where do I put the transmission fluid in a 1996 Toyota t100
on the transmission. and it requires gear oil
Manual transmission = 2.5 u.s. qts. Auto transmission = 3.3 u.s. qts. source = 1992 Toyota Paseo repair manual
Usually you drain and replace it...;)
Should be a plug at the side of the transmission
Manual transmissions don't use transmission fluid!! They use Hypoid oil - 90 weight usually.
