clicker on the lever, hydraulic clutches can not be adjusted. If adjustment is needed you need new friction discs. Can you adjust the brake pedal on your car.....NO, they're hydraulic as is the nomad's clutch. this is NOT correct - if you have hydraulic brakes with drums, the pedal can be adjusted by clicking the manual adjuster inside the drums!
If your Vulcan is a US model an 85 will be a 700cc moter. due to tarrifs the US govt put on import bikes for that year, the 86 is the first year the Vulcan came as a 750cc because Kawasaki moved a plant into the US. The VN7xx's are the same basic bike from beginning to end of production, so simple answer is yes the 85 will fir into the frame of the 89. There are probably going to be some minor differances though, the brake pedal might be differant and on later models the master cylinder changed from the square to round. C
A Kawasaki brake drum diagram can be obtained from most Kawasaki ATV dealerships. The brake drum diagram can also be found at most ATV parts stores.

The rear brake shoes, on a Kawasaki 3010 Mule, will come off. When the brake springs are removed. Reverse the process to install new brake shoes.
You can remove the front brake drum, on your Kawasaki Mule 2500, by removing the wheel and axle. The brake drum will slide off.

The majority of time if you adjust the rear brakes it will adjust the park brake.
