To change the brake lights on a 1997 Volkswagen Polo first locate the brake light housings in the trunk. Remove the plastic covers and unlock the bulbs. Remove the bulbs and install the new brake lights.

∙ 9y agoIn order to adjust a handbrake on a 1992 VW Polo, you will need to locate the primary cable under the hood of the vehicle. This runs through a pulley on the rear axle to a relax lever. This particular wire needs to be tightened to adjust the handbrake.

∙ 11y agoon the centre console on the passenger side by the gear stick, there is a fabric panel you just pull away, you should then see the cable with a metal shaft on it, remove the clip and turn the shaft and it will adjust from there, when finish refit the clip in to the nearest grove

i have also a knocking noise on my Fiesta st 2008 and have discovered that it is the handbrake cable underneath the car between the heat shield and body of under center of where your handbrake is.The heat shield will have to be removed as what happens normally the hand brake cable comes loose and rattles against the heat shield when accelerating & deceleration... really annoying!
