I have only adjusted them up and down. On the rear outboard side of each headlamp there is a white plastic nut (I think 8mm). It is at the end of a couple inch long stock so it is easy to see. Turn clockwise for down and counter clockwise for up. I have no idea how to adjust them side to side.
I recently replaced my headlights and found out that to adjust them from side to side you must have the headlight completely out (this is the only way you can get to the adjustment screw) and there's another adjustment screw on the very end of each one to adjust the light from side to side.
