With the car cold. The idle air control valve located on the backside of the throttle body has a screw in it. Have a towel ready the coolant tubes. Before touching this screw I advise u to remove the idle air control valve and clean it with electrical cleaner as this with not harm the electrical components inside like carb cleaner does. Make sure not to mix up the two bolts you removed to get the idle air valve out. One is longer. Replace the iacl and disconnect the battery.. wait 5.. connect the battery; this is so the ecu restarts. Turn car on and wait afew mins for the ecu to recalibrate to the right rpms
Honda Accord 1998-2002 model GEN 6 idle speed is control by internal computer. You need to bring it to the dealer to adjust this.
To adjust the idle speed on a 1993 Honda Accord, you will need to locate the adjustment screw which is located on the throttle body. This can stick at times due to obstructions. Once the screw is located, apply carb cleaner to loosen up any debris which may be causing the idle speed to be off.
On a 90-93 Honda Accord you can adjust the idle with a screwdriver. On the throttle body there is a screw on the top left above the intake duct. Just adjust until idle is in correct range (usually around 700)

The idle for a 1986 Honda Accord is adjusted by a idle air control valve. These function by either tightening or loosening the valve. This controls how much air is allowed into the system, more air means higher idle and less means lower.
The idle speed on a 1996 Honda Civic is adjusted using an IACV. The IACV, or idle air control valve, lowers and raises the idle by either being tighten or loosen.
see under hood direction, vehicle idle @750RPM in gear 15*
The IAC valve is on the back of the throttle body. It has 2 bolts on the back of it and a black cylinder on one end. The idle adjuster screw is on the front of the intake and has a couple cables running to it. Let your car fully warm up and turn the screw to adjust the idle.
how to adjust idle on 2001 legacy
The idle speed on a 2001 Honda Civic is adjusted through the idle air control valve. The valve is located behind the intake manifold. Open the cover using a screwdriver and tighten the valve to lower the idle.
you cant without having a remap. its controlled electonically by the ecu via the Idle air control valve on the throttle body. generally only vehicles fitted with carburetor can adjust idle speed manually.
The idle mixture screw is located at the base of the carb in the rear underneath a bracket. Very difficult to do as a small tin plug must be removed first. The ile speed is on the drivers rear of the carb
