first you must set your crank shaft at TDC top dead center #1 & #4 pistons must be up. second install the head bolt it down and torque at 25" lbs. third install intake cam, set the knock pin in between 9 & 10 o'clock that 80 degrees to the left from 12 0'clock. next is the exhaust cam set the knock pin at 10 to 45 degrees to the left from 12 o'clock. now you can install your timing belt.
where is camshalf pulley ignition timing location for 1992 Toyota corolla?
The crankshaft itself has no marks, the crankshaft pulley has one, it's white color. The same is true for the camshaft, it has no marks. But the camshaft pulley has a hole in it. That hole must alighed with the mark behind the pulley and the crankshaft should alighed with its own mark and the camshaft in the same time.
Timing mark on the crankshaft pulley (mark should be at zero) must be aligned with the mark on the camshaft pulley (mark should be in the middle of the hole in the pulley).
No,the engine is designed to be no interference. You can turn the crank or cam without damage to get it in time.
It should behind the crankshaft pulley, just next to the timing belt gear.
The camshaft TDC mark is located on the camshaft side of the pulley wheel. When the mark is level with the front reinforcing strip on the camshaft cover the camshaft will be at TDC.
There is one on the timing belt plastic cover and it's a scale from 0 to 15, another park is on the engine body behind the camshaft pulley. The hole in the camshaft pulley must align with the mark on the engine body and zero on the timing belt plastic cover.
Yes it does interchange. 1990-1993 Accords have the same camshaft pulley (or cog).
The crankshaft position sensor must be behind the timing belt cover next to the crankshaft and behind the crankshaft pulley. The camshaft position sensor is again under the timing belt cover next to the camshaft and behind and the camshaft pulley. Is it the same place in 2000 Camry 4Cyl? Do you have pictures of the location? Hard or easy to replace, and what tools do I need? Thanks alot
There is a line on both of the pulleys, the top pulley (camshaft) the line should be at the bottom or 6:00 position and the bottom pulley (crankshaft) the line should be on top or in the 12:00 position, both lines should line up with each other.
One is on the engine cylinder head. You should be able to see through tune up hole in the camshaft gear. Another one is on the timing belt cover next to the crankshaft pulley and on the pulley itself.
One is on the crankshaft pulley the other is on the camshaft pulley.
