Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea has one possible answer for this!
The Expo has been being held since May 12 in 2012 under a theme of "the Living Ocean and Coast" striving for sustainable ocean.
To highlight the spirit of Yeosu Expo, 2 major projects named "the Yeosu Project" and "the Yeosu Declaration" have been promoted for nearly 2 years!
Yeosu Declaration represents the legacy of Yeosu Expo. With this project, Yeosu Expo asks for international cooperation to find a sustainable way to coexist between mankind and the ocean. People have learned the value of the seas and coasts and how to reach the goal of sustainable use and preservation of the marine environment and resources, obtained the knowledge- and fact- based understanding about climate change, etc.
The Yeosu Project seeks the practical element that translates the spirit of the Yeosu Declaration and the theme of Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea into action. Korean Government has made efforts to bridge the divide between the developed and the developing world and build developing countries' capacity to meet the challenges of climate change and its impact on the marine environment. Since 2010, various countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, etc were invited for educational programs. Also, research and development projects for those countries in marine area have been undergone.

Greenpeace are trying to making fishing sustainable and defend the oceans by making unsustainable fishing illegal wr
To address overfishing and ensure the sustainability of our oceans and marine life, we can implement and enforce strict fishing regulations, establish marine protected areas, promote sustainable fishing practices, and educate the public about the importance of conservation.
Some of the major resources in our lives that could be depleted if we do not live sustainable lifestyles are: fossil fuels, clean water, forests, healthy soil, oceans, clean air, etc. To highlight the near depletion of a resource that was once thought to be endless, we must look at the declining population of fish in our oceans. The vast expanses of the oceans were once thought to have an endless and replenishing population of fish, but recent irresponsible habits of over fishing through modern mechanized technologies have left many of the world's fisheries in irrecoverable states and some completely depleted. With simple responsible habits and some foresight, we can live comfortable lives that are also sustainable.

Humans affect oceans through pollution, overfishing, habitat destruction, and climate change. These activities harm marine life, disrupt ecosystems, and contribute to ocean acidification and rising sea levels. It is important to implement sustainable practices to mitigate these impacts and protect our oceans for future generations.
