You can either apply to different electrical companies and start off "green" (no experience) and gain hours and experience before you go to school. Or you can enroll in a 1st year or Pre-Employment electrical class and then apply to companies after that. Having the schooling experience will make it easier to get a job but working first and learning the ins and outs makes those practical tests in school that much easier.
