First, have Patience. As a primary teacher, you need to be patient with your students.
Second, be knowledgeable. You will give information to students, so make sure you are knowledgeable enough to satisfy them.
Then, be friendly and artistic. To make the primary students learn a lot, make sure the techniques you implementing are enjoyable. Like, playing games.
I really want to be a primary school teacher, im picking my choices in january. What should I pick and how is it like to be a primary school teacher? HELP !
Myself, an engineer telling you.............Do DED immediately from any colleges in West Bengal, India, provided 50 percent marks you have in 10 plus 2 examination.
I taught elementary students for 30 years, and I can tell you truthfully that the kids were the very best part of it from day one, and were still the best part of it on the last day I taught. What you need to do it is a bachelor's degree in education, and no plans to "get rich quick", cause it isn't going to happen. You also need a great deal of patience (no brainer) and a knack for working with young kids (ditto). The kids will really try your patience on some days. But the kids will never try your patience like the school board and administration will, believe me.

Hi, I'm currently finishing my a-levels and have been offered a conditional place on a primary teaching course. You don't have to have specific subjects to become a primary school teacher but if you hope to specialise in a certain field in secondary education e.g. you want to become a maths teacher you would have to have maths at a-level. If you want to be a primary school teacher I would recommend you do health and social care, and at least one subject from the primary education national curriculum.

To become a math teacher, you typically need a bachelor's degree in mathematics or a related field, along with completing a teacher education program. In some states, you may also need to pass licensing exams and complete a student-teaching experience. Having a strong understanding of mathematics concepts and effective communication skills are also important for success in this field.
