Hi, there is a lift pump in the tank, it is a fuel gauge sender & lift pump combined in 1 unit. I have changed 1 on a focus & mondeo tomorrow because no fuel being fired to the filters when ignition turned on.
no you dont
Did you bleed the system making sure that there is no air in the system. Check the rad cap to ensure that it holds the pressure
No need to bleed lines, since the system is under pressure.
If you have bleed the system and If it will not go into gear with the engine running, the clutch pressure plate may have failed.
I'm not sure why you would want to do this. The fuel pressure reguator will automaticly bleed air from the system.
To relieve pressure from the system for service To troubleshoot fuel pump performance To monitor fuel pressure regulator To evacuate contaminants from the system
If it is not a low fluid condition then you will need to pressure bleed it.
They serve two different purposes. An air bleed valve is used to remove air from the circulation system. A pressure relief valve is designed to automatically open when certain pressure levels are reached.
You need to bleed the system.
There is still air in the system.
To bleed the cooling system on a 1996 Olds Cutlass, locate the bleed valve, which is on the front of the engine above the water pump. After making sure the cooling system is not under pressure, open the valve by turning it counterclockwise. Fill the radiator with coolant until no air comes out the bleed valve, and a stream of coolant begins to flow from there instead. Tighten the valve and close the system to finish the job.
Carefully!!! You will need to pressure bleed the system and it will require a scanner to reset the light.
