You go to the male you want your mare to breed with, go to reproduction and and under covering, click reserved for one of your mare's, then type in the name of your mare or press see mares, then click confirm. Go back to the mare you want to breed with go under reproduction and then private offers (it will be colored not gray of you did the steps before) and click confirm!
You can buy it from the auctions or you would have to breed two horses.

You can't mix random breeds and get a mustang, you have to breed two mustangs with each other.
You must already have a Purebred Spanish. Or you can buy a Purebred Spanish horse in the sales already purebred. It is impossible to make a breed or breed two breeds of horses to make another breed in Howrse. Only the Administration can make new breeds.
Go to rankings > horses > and look at each breed. They all have their merits depending on which particular breed you are attracted to.
No they cant they are basically fertile like a mule. Only divine horses like Sapphire or Emerald can breed to get different horses heres an example: Sapphire+ Emerald=Topaz

Special horses cannot be bred. They are given to players by the game, or sold in the open market (if able to be sold).

It is not possible to change your foundation horse's breed on Howrse. You can however wait until you are able to access the auctions or sales and buy a horse of another breed, or you could breed from your current horse to produce a crossbred.
