If you need to lose it to fit something, and quickly, you can pull in an inch in just a day or two:
1. First, drink at least 32 oz of water.
2. Do not eat or drink for at least 12 hours.
3. Drink 12 oz of water, and eat a SALTLESS snack. IT MUST CONTAIN NO SALT AT ALL. The snack should be high in carbs and protein, and low in fat and NO SALT. No more than 120 calories.
4. Within an hour, this should stimulate your bowel to purge whatever is leftover.
5. Do not eat until the event.
6. Every 12 hours, drink 12 oz of water.
*DO NOT EXERCISE! This could cause a heart attack!
*If you do this for more than 48 hours, you will suffer from serious dehydration and eventually die, so don't be stupid.
*This is an EXTREMELY unhealthy way to treat your body, so don't use it often.
The reason this works is that you are shedding water weight. You must avoid salt at all costs, and eat just enough to purge your bowels of what was in there before you started. The initial 32oz of water will keep you hydrated, but your body will go into starvation mode after just a few hours (6 or so). When you eat the crackers, your body will be tricked into thinking it is getting a meal. This will naturally stimulate your bowels. You will lose a lot of water when you do go to the bathroom. Your body will also shed water naturally (sweat, breathing, metabolism).
Once the event starts, immediately start hydrating yourself, and eat something high in protein and carbs, but low in fat. DO NOT gorge.
This method works BEST for men that are overweight.
This method works WELL for women that are overweight.
This method works POORLY for men that are thin.
This method DOES NOT WORK for women that are thin.
If you want it to last:
1. Eat less.
2. Exercise more.
This is a simple truth. All diets have this as a basis, they just add to it. If you do the above, relative to what you are doing now, you will lose weight.
Diet and exercise-there is NO magic answer.
If you have a man submerged up to his neck in corn and you want to know how many pounds of force it will take to lift him out, information about the volume, weight, mass, density would be needed in order to calculate the force needed.

In the UK a size 10 dress or skirt has a 28 inch waist and sizes go up in increments of 2". Size 12 would therefore have a 30" waist, size 14, a 32" inch waist, size 16, a 34" waist, size 18, a 36" waist and so on. For a waist 33" you would either have to settle for a size 14, with a 32 inch waist, or go one larger and get a size 16, which would have a 34" waist.
Losing 20 kilos (44 pounds) would make a substantial difference in one's measurements - probably the waist most of all.
