First, remove the wiper arm assembly from the outside of the rear window by removing the plastic cover over the 10mm nut that holds the arm in place. The plastic cap just lifts up. Gently pull up and toward the end of the blade. Remove the wiper arm and blade.

Next remove the round plastic cover that holds the rubber washer in place that prevents leaks through the glass. Once this has been done, you're ready for the inside.

Carefully pry out the two square panels covering rear tail light connections using a small flat bladed screw driver. Next carefully pry out the covers on the handle and remove two Phillips screws holding the pull handle to the deck lid. Now on the bottom edge of the deck lid on each side of the latch there are two small screw clips that you will remove by loosening the screws until they are about half way out, then pull the whole clip straight out.

Because the plastic trim over laps all the way around the inside of the deck lid, you must carefully pull the trim loose from the metal door, by gently pulling it away. Start at the top of the door and proceed to the sides. The strip across the top and two side strips are carefully pulled away from the door. Do this gently but deliberately, small expanding clips hold the strips on. It's best to start at one end and work toward the center in the case of the top piece and from top down on the sides.

Once the top and side pieces are off, you can begin to work on the large center piece below the widow. Pop the bottom clips loose first and work you way up. Shine a small flashlight through the square holes you removed the covers from earlier to see where the clips are. It helps to get you fingers closer to the clips and pop them loose. Carefully lift the trim up and off the locking knob that sticks through it. Now you should be be able to see the wiper motor assembly just below the window.

Before you disconnect any of the electrical connections to the motor, remove the fuse for the motor from under left side of the dash by drivers left foot area. I believe it's the 7th one down (10A).

Now go back to the rear door and carefully disconnect the electrical connections from the motor. You may have to use a small flat bladed screw driver to help press down the tab that holds the connector together. Remove the three bolts from the motor assembly taking care not to loose the rubber washer that is against the glass where the motor shaft goes through. Install the replacement motor don't forget the rubber washer reconnect the electric connections, the fuse and test the motor to make sure it runs. If runs ok, reconnect the wiper arm and try it again to make sure it can move the arm. If OK, you're good to go.

Study the inside of the large trim piece to get an idea of where the clips engage in the door so you know where to push to reinsert them. Lift the trim gently over the locking knob and snap the clips back into place. Again, you can watch through the square holes. Replace the two screw clips on the bottom (don't over tighten), the handle and finally all the plastic covers that hide the holes on the handle and for changing the light bulbs. Replace the two side pieces and finally the top piece by snapping them back into place. If you accidentally break any of the plastic clips you can buy new ones from Honda, Napa or VIP.
