Pull off the cover of the compartment in the rear of the vehicle nearest the brake light (on the side panel near window). Pull off the (black on mine) cover that is inside. Grab the light housing and turn 1/4 turn ccw to release from housing. Pull the bulb straight out from the socket. Push in replacement bulb; it will snap when in. I used syvania bulb #7443; I'm sure there are many brands. Before replacing bulb, it's a good idea to put your foot on the brake pedal to ensure it's working. Replace the bulb in housing turning 1/4 turn cw. Snap the panels back on. Less than 10 minutes to replace both.

You have to pop the panels off inside of your hatch, right on the other side of the tail lights, you should be able to see the back of the tail light from there.
