If your cat has been on the car for a good deal of time, the bolts that connect the cat to the y pipe (y pipe connection/front end) and the b pipe (rear end) you may need to take it to a professional to get them to heat them up and remove them. If you want to diy, then just ask them to loosen them up. While they're at it, ask them to loosen the o2 sensor as well, as I have had trouble trying to remove it myself. If you want to do it yourself, make sure you have the necessary tools. Sprockets, 14 mm head I believe. o2 sensors are just screw ons.
Also, you can use a PENETRATING CATALYST SPRY. I used it and it works great! Break and loose faster. Leave it set for a minute or two It's call BLASTER ; PB made in the USA. I found this spray at Auto Zone. But I think you can find it in any Auto Parts. If you don't have INPAC TOOLS, make sure you support the side of the pipes so you won't bend anything.
