AnswerI have a 1989 323, but I'm sure it's going to be the same. The pump is located inside the gas tank. Make sure the pump is the problem before undertakign the work; discoonect the fuel line on the inlet of the fuel filter (located on the engine compartmetn firewall). Connect a test gauge to the fuel line and turn on the igniton, you should read 40 PSIG. If not then it is the pump. Disconnect the battery first. To access the tank, remove the rear seat cushion; you'll see a metal plate with the gas line and wiring. Disocnnect the fuel line and wires, remove the screws and lift the plate off. Remove the plaet on top of the tank and remove the assembly.CheersMalcolm
