disconnect lines at pump. V-8 right? remove bolts that connect it to engine, remove pump.Disconnect plate between pump and egine(bolted on) remove pushrod between pump eccentic arm and the camlobe, coat it with grease and slide it back in, this will keep the pushroad from fallin down while installing pump. Clean all surfaces, use silocone on the plate a nd reinstall, install pump, reconnect lines,,,
The 87 has throttle body fuel injection and has an electric fuel pump so the pump is in the gas tank, the tank has to be taken down to change the pump.
