If you have fog lamps on your Jetta, between the foglamp and the Signal lamp there is a reflector. Pyy gently with a flat head screwdriver and the reflector will pop out. Then you will have acess too the signal light housing. There is a spring there, push it towards the housing and pull the housing out. Twist and turn your bulb uot of the housing......

You have to remove the whole headlamp assembly. Remove the 1 bolt 6mm? and pull outwards.
The directional light cover swings open like a door. This will give you access to the bulb.
The symbol that has a circle with three dashes around both sides on a vow Jetta dash is a light. The light is a brake pad indicator. Which is letting you know you need to change your front brakes soon.

replace front brake pads
Take Out the battery box, then remove the battery, flip the locking clips on the headlight inside cover, then remove bulb holder twist and bulb can be removed
This indicates the front brake pads are worn.
