change bulbs in gear selector of 2001 oldsmobile aurora
Unless you can find the shift linkage and gear selector collar out of a used Falcon, I would go with a nice floor shifter.
I'm assuming you mean the inhibitor switch. ie the car shouldn't start in gear for auto trans. it's located on the passsenger side of the trans. it's the plastic unit which the gear shift selector goes through.
the button is by the gear selector lever
Transmission or linkage. If it's an auto, look under and see if it is actually in gear with a helper to hold the brake. If selector not moving trans selector, linkage needs adjustment. if in gear-check fluid. If manual, check clutch surface material.
The 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix gear selector wire can be found beneath the center console. The gear selector wire will go to the instrument panel.
Need to know what the problem is. Need more information.
If it is a Electronic Auto transmission (1990ish onwards), it could be that the computerised gear change moduals are not working. Check the fuse first. It would be running in 'limp home mode' and only staying in third gear. even moving off from start in it.
down shifts
i know that in my 1989 735i it is from underneath it is quite fiddly and u really need someone in the driver seat to catch when it is pushed thru at the gear handle
my cluch is lost pressure and the geare doest notwork even i have change the valve onbelow
yes but you need clutch linkage, pedal change, and a 3 speed column change to start. Also need to look at drive shaft length and rear end gear ratio. Always easier to go from manual to auto trans than auto to manual.
