The 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix gear selector wire can be found beneath the center console. The gear selector wire will go to the instrument panel.
The problem could be in the gear selector or the shifter linkage. Ensure the selector is not broken. Also, make sure that the neutral safety and the brake interlock switch are working simultaneously.
At the end of the starter motor shaft. Remove the starter and look in the opening that faced the transmission and you will see the gear.
In the console, it communicates gear selector position (what gear its in) to the Transmission Control Module
Not sure what you mean by transmission selector sensor. The transmission range sensor reads what position you have selected with the gear shift lever.
depends on how fast you are going and what gear you are in
Need to know what the problem is. Need more information.

On our 1995 Grand Prix, the second gear start is automatic in adverse road condtions (Ice, Snow & Rain) I was told that when the wheels spin, it enables the Second Gear Start to provide better traction and power to the drive wheels. on the left hand side of dash panel down at the bottom
standard (shift gear) 5 speed Automatic 4 speed

could be motor mounts, does the engine "rock" when you put it in gear? Have someone put it in gear while you look under the hood.
The gear selector linkages under the dash need adjusting. Or it might be the barrel in the steering column. You have to drop the column to get to it.
you need to change the fluid. my 99 grand am does that, it feels like you're shifting a manual from 1st to 2nd.
check and make sure your lock on your gear selector is engaged that is a common problem if that doesnt solve it there is a tiny little door on the bottom of the steering column pull out the little piece of plastic and inside is a little button push the button and turn the key at the same time it should unlock
bad tourche convertor broken fly wheel, bad gear syncronizer, motor mounts trans mount, clutch plate damaged , the barmufaschnizier mounting module last but not least its a pontiac!!!!!!
Most likely ratio is 3.55:1
It allows you to manually shift the transmission when the selector is in the L position.
Why does my 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, with a 2.4L engine, run rough at idle but runs normally when placed in neutral? I changed the plugs and air filter, but the problem continues.
The front differential uses 80W90 gear oil.
