My 1997 Skoda Felicia 1.3 petrol has just been diagnosed as needing a replacement coil. It's on the very front of the engine. You have to unplug the wires attached to it, & then use an Allen key to undo 2 bolts; my mechanic tells me it should only take a couple of minutes. If I attempt it myself I might do it in a morning.

There is no distributor. The ignition system is coil on plug type. Each plug has its own coil.
Take off the plastic engine cover , take out the bolt that hold the coil , take out the coil.
