Battery is on the left side, behind the pop off panel. Remove the neg. then the pos. then the over flow line, then the hold down screw and just slide the battery out. Replace the same way and the with the engine at 2500 to 3,000 revs, check the battery voltage with a volt meter direct on the battery. Should have at least 14 or more volts. If 13 or less, then possible stator problem or other problems. To replace the stator you have to pull the engine.
