How do you change battery on Honda key fob?

On a 2005 Honda CRV and some other Honda models

1. Remove the small screw on the plastic back plate of key

2. Place small blade of screw driver in slot and pry open gently

working around the edges of plastic piece.

3. Separate the two halves

4. remove inner circuit piece

5. using the small flat blade of screw driver carefully pry open the smaller end (Lock Button end). It opens from the top and Be careful.

6. It should now be open, exposing the battery. Get the number off of it and snap it back together so you do not lose the codes until you get the replacement.

7. Reverse the order and you are finished.
