Remove the transmission unbolt the flywheel and replace.
Yes
i think u unbolt the trans and the fly wheel reconect the trans
No it will not fit stock I am gettin nitrogen charged rancho shocks to add a couple inches to my ride hight. Also I am getting 2" blocks and I can fit them on my 97' Tahoe 2 dr 4x4
No it will not fit CORRECTLY. You will need to get a 96 or 97 4L60E transmission so it will fit and everything will BOLT UP.
NO, Not even close. There are ONLY 2 years that will WORK in that 97 and they are 96-97. You MUST get a 96 or 97 4L60E V-8 truck transmission and put it in your Tahoe. V-6 transmission won't fit your block.
Put some blue locktight on the bolt threads which hold the flywheel to the crank then torque to 55 Ft-lbs
To change the flywheel or flexplate you'll need to remove the engine, transaxle or both. The flywheel or flexplate is between the engine and transaxle and is easily changed once you have clear access to the space between them.
very carefully
To change the thermostat on a 97 Chevy Tahoe, drain the radiator. Locate the part under the upper hose register and loosen the screw holding it in place. Replace it by putting in the new part and bolting it back down.
The system is low on freon...........
If you have power to the plug, and the relay is is replaced, did you check the GROUND?
No it will not. The 96 and 97 transmission bellhousings are different.
