The stock fog lights are mounted to steel framework on the grill and can very easily be removed with the appropriate sized wrench leaving the mounting bracket in place. I replaced mine with a set of larger "off-road" type of driving lights instead of fog lights and because they're still standard 55 watt bulbs they worked perfectly with the original equipment switch. The mounting of the new ones required slight modification to the Jeep factory bracket (I bent it to fit) but the result is a huge improvement in vision on dark two lane twisty country roads and since we seldom get much fog here the driving lights are a great match for me.
