screw tight the knob behind the headlight unit to lift up the headlight with power off, remove 4 screws holding the black cover. Unscrew the 2 screws on top of the lamp holding the lamp in place, lift up the holding frame, remove the whole lamp unit.
Use a flathead and wedge it out
Unlikely, the MK1 is four stud, a mk2 uses 5 stud
probably by removing the plastic cover under the front of the car and reaching in from there
Its the mk2 late 1989-1999 Kind regards www.mr2-Ben.co.uk Toyota mr2 mk2 New & Used Spares
For the Mk2: - place a flat-head screw driver in-between the reflector and sidelight. Then lever out the sidelight towards the front of the car. The plastic is quite bendy but don't use too much force, and the unit will pop out.
An MR2 MK2 1990
when sitting in drivers seat, it is in the kick panel near your left foot behind where the front hood latch is and up slightly higher. its a small fuse box, one of 3 on the mr2 mk2
flip up the front headlights and remove them you should be able to reach in and replace the bulb
If you are talking about a second generation MR2, then it's pretty easy. You don't replace just the bulb, you will replace the entire housing. They both cost the same at the store. You need to take off the black plastic shroud around the headlight. Then remove the 4 screws that are in the chrome ring holding the light in. Then just pull the light out and unplug it. Just do the reverse to put it back in. ^^^^Why would you replace the whole housing???? Dont know what stores you are shopping at that keep a stock of headlight housings, and then sell them at the same price as a set of bulbs? Bulb is an H4 and you gain access as stated above.
Sounds like the speedo cable may have snapped www.mr2-ben.co.uk Toyota mr2 mk2 New & Used parts
Put a flat head screwdriver behind the indicator cluster and prize it out. Then just twist out the bulb.
Hi there, I had the same problem trying to replace a bulb but struggled. You need a screwdriver to place between the yellow inddicator & bonnet. The yellow indicator should just snap out of position, then you'll see the screws.
