There are three mounts, all relatively difficult to get to. Usually only the one in front is a problem. You'll need to support the engine on a jack while changing any of them.
where is the PCM located on Mercury Villager 97
Technically two. Front and rear. There are two more mounts attached to the transaxle.
Chevy Villager?
yes you can, just need to change intake manifold and think the driver side mount on the motor. wire harness should plug right in.
There is no such device on a '97 villager.
I am not sure how it could possibly be changed if the motor mount is not disconnected. I would be interested in seeing how it would be done. Chilton designates this job to take 5/10ths of an hour. Its a true 96 Buick Park Ave. 3/96.K. If it was a 97 Then you would have to remove the motor mount. I cant see removing and replacing a belt having to remove the motor mount and all that entails taking that short of a time.
Which engine 3.8K? Is it supercharged. You may need to remove a motor mount. A garage would probably charge one hour labour to change it for you.there is a spacer about 4 to 5 inches long located on the bottom side of the motor mount which has to be remove in order to put the belt on
4 cylinder will have two engine mounts and one transmission mount
1.Raise the vehicle and support it securly on jackstands.Support the engine 2.Remove the mount and bracket bolts and detach the mount and bracket.
On the frame rail, left side.
Yes, but cv joints are differant and tranny mount
A 97 Mercury Villager should use r134a type freon. The valve size is designed so that the r12 fittings cant accidentally be used.
