Go to Profiles (speaker icon), select that and you will get the options: Loud, Vibrate, Quiet, Normal, Phone Only, Off, and Advanced.

You want to click on advanced. Once that is open, you will have the same options as above. Click on the one that you want to change.

Once you do that you will get the following options: browser, calendar, level 1 messages, messages (email addy), messages (desktop), messenger (alert), messenger (new message), MMS, Phone, Push to talk alert, push to talk message, SMS text, tasks.

Example: Loud (click the button to the left of the trackball and you will get several options like: browser, calendar, level 1 messages, etc. Click on the one that you want to change...in case of the ringer, it would be phone. then it gives you several other options like out of holster, tune, volume. You would go to "tune" click on that and change it to what you wanted your ringer to be

The ringer volume on a Blackberry Pearl can have the volume adjusted several ways. If you want to turn it down while it's ringing, use the external volume buttons on the right near the top side of the phone.

• To increase the volume, press the Volume Up key.

• To decrease the volume, press the Volume Down key. If you want to adjust the overall ringtone, click the icon in the top right of the main screen to access your profiles. Choose the profile for which you are trying to adjust the volume, and click the menu button. Choose edit. Select "phone" from the list. Edit the volume control to "medium" or "low" for in or out of the holster on the screen. Save your changes. Note that if you have saved customized ringtones for certain people, these will not be affected and will ring at their normal volume. Download a lower volume ringtone.

Well when you turn on your phone, move the scroll to the right

Then there should be a small sound like thing (It looks like the volume adjuster on your computer) then press the center key on your phone to select it

A box should pop up and should say the folowing:

-LOUD

-Vibrate

- Quiet

-Normal

-Phone only

-Off

Select the your desired ring tone volume by pressing the center key.

Press the return key to end chosing a ring tone level

Now If you are uneasy of the volume, you may go back and press the the volume button again, when the box pops back up, you should see the word (Active) beside your chosen level.

Then, all that's left is the waiting game, watch you phone nervously to see who is calling, and if the volume level is correct!
