It depends on the year of the Car, on a 1996 model it is quite straight forward, there is a plastic pin holding it in the drivers side of the gearbox. In the drivers compartment you will have to remove the dials fascia panel. Two screws (torques type), located at the same level as the indicator and wiper arms, on the underside of the clock assembly. withdraw the rear surround. two screws are located at the rear of the hole assembly remove them and the two screws at the front of the assembly disconnect speedo cable from back of clock. you may have to undo the lower fascia panel under the steering wheel to thread the cable through.
If you want to get the bonnet open when the catch has broken and the is no cable to get hold of the Renault Grand Espace; use the screwdriver to PUSH the catch from right to left.

If it's a Mk2 Clio then the speedo is electronic - Mk1 Clios had cable driven speedos.
Yes, you can fit a speedo cable and pedometer into a Renault Clio 2001 model. You will need to order the part that is made for that make and model from your local auto parts store.

Are you sure it is a cable driven speedo? I should be electronic. no offence, but if your looking for a cable on a electronic speedo you should take it to a auto electrician or at least a good machanic and find out if it is a cable or not.
there is no speedo cable so if your speedo isn't working you either have a faulty sending unit or the dash half of it is bad
Pull the speedo and gauge package out of dash. Unhook wiring. Remove speedo cable from speedometer. Pull speedo cable out of housing, lube it lightly and re-insert. If you have a electrical speedo you don't have a cable. Change the speed sensor in the trans.
firstly you find the part off the speedo cable that's broken and then you replace it with a new part then you speedometer will work
If you don't have a speedo cable on your front wheel, you have a speedo sensor. I believe that change was made in 2000.
